Timothy Alcott serves as Executive Vice President of Development and General Counsel at Opportunity Home. He brings more than 20 years of housing industry experience across the public and private sectors and previously served as the organization’s Chief Legal and Real Estate Officer. Before returning to Opportunity Home in August 2024, he served as Director of Real Estate Development for Cohen-Esrey Development Group.
Over his 17 years with Opportunity Home, Tim has played a key role in shaping the organization’s real estate strategies. His leadership has supported the financing, construction and rehabilitation of multifamily communities across San Antonio, helping deliver thousands of affordable housing units valued at more than $1 billion.
Tim is a member of the Urban Land Institute, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the Federal Bar Association, the Housing and Development Law Institute, and the San Antonio Bar Association. He previously served as Vice President and Secretary of the Association of Corporate Counsel and has been recognized by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of the city’s top in-house counsel.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Mary’s University and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
