Brad McMurray

Chief Asset Management Officer

Brad McMurray serves as Chief Asset Management Officer at Opportunity Home, bringing more than 25 years of experience in government, nonprofit and private sector roles within the Texas affordable housing industry.

His career spans project-based Section 8 operations, single-family redevelopment, LIHTC planning for the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, and development leadership positions with public housing authorities and nonprofit affordable housing providers. Before joining Opportunity Home, he served as Vice President of Property Development for Prospera Housing Community Services.

Brad has extensive experience guiding the development and preservation of affordable housing through federal, state and local financing tools, contributing to the creation of more than 5,500 units of public, affordable, and market-rate housing with total development costs nearing $1 billion. His background also includes service on the Board of Directors for the Texas Affiliation of Affordable Housing Providers (TAAHP) and NB Housing Partners, a 501(c)(3) affordable housing provider in New Braunfels, Texas.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning with a concentration in Land Use and Development from The University of Texas at Austin. He has been a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker since 1992 and volunteers with Kairos Prison Ministry at the Torres unit in Hondo, Texas. Brad and his wife, LouAnn, have been married for 30 years and have three adult children.
