Central at Commerce
Empowering San Antonio’s Eastside with Quality Living
The Space
The seven-story community will bring 279 modern apartment homes to the East Commerce Street corridor. Our mission is simple: expanding housing opportunities for families who want to remain connected to the city’s economic and cultural center without sacrificing affordability.
Affordable Living
The development will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for households earning 30% to 70% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
A Partnership for Progress
Central at Commerce is led by Opportunity Home San Antonio in partnership with The Annex Group, bolstered by the City of San Antonio’s 2022 Affordable Housing Bond. The partnership represents an $86.9 million investment in affordable housing opportunities in an area experiencing renewed momentum.
Coming in 2028
Construction is underway, with the community anticipated to open in 2028.

At the Heart of San Antonio’s Transformation
Central at Commerce puts residents steps away from Project Marvel, the city’s $4 billion sports and entertainment district. This massive development — featuring a new Spurs arena and expanded convention center — will serve as both a world-class playground and a major employment hub, offering residents unparalleled access to new jobs and career opportunities right in their backyard.
Future-Forward Connectivity
The community is strategically positioned for the city’s growth. You’ll be steps away from the future Sports and Entertainment District and directly along the planned VIA Rapid Silver Line corridor. Building a Brighter Future for a Growing City
As San Antonio reaches new heights, the demand for quality housing is greater than ever. Central at Commerce is a direct response to this growth, ensuring that as our city expands, our residents have a place to call home.
Central at Commerce supports the goals of the City of San Antonio’s Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP), which focuses on expanding housing availability in areas experiencing rapid growth and investment.
By adding 279 new apartment homes near the downtown core, Opportunity Home is doing more than just building units — we are a foundation of stability. This development invests in the people of the Eastside, strengthening the neighborhood’s fabric while opening doors to new opportunities.
