The Opportunity Home Community Fund is the charitable nonprofit partner of Opportunity Home San Antonio. It connects philanthropic support with life-changing programs and initiatives that help individuals and families achieve long-term success.
Originally established in 1991 as the San Antonio Housing Authority Foundation and later renamed the Education Investment Foundation, we rebranded as the Opportunity Home Community Fund in 2026 to sharpen our focus on total community uplift. Today, we continue our charitable mission with a renewed commitment to supporting residents served by Opportunity Home — the largest housing authority in Texas and the largest provider of affordable housing in the city.
Working alongside Opportunity Home’s Community Development Initiatives department, we help strengthen programs and services for people living in Opportunity Home’s public housing and Affordable Housing Communities, as well as families participating in the Housing Choice Voucher program.
To support residents of Opportunity Home in reaching their full potential by bridging housing with opportunities through community partnerships. We empower families to break the cycle of generational poverty and achieve upward mobility.
