
Miranda Castro serves as the Senior Director of Asset Management at Opportunity Home, where she leads the Asset Management and Compliance Department. She has dedicated more than 20 years to the field of affordable housing management.
In her current role, Castro oversees a portfolio of more than 10,000 units, primarily composed of LIHTC properties with layered funding sources such as HUD, HTF and HOME. She is responsible for all departmental operations including directing the organization’s asset and property management policies, strategies and initiatives, with oversight of financial and operational performance, physical assets, capital planning and regulatory compliance.
Castro also leads strategic activities such as post 15-year exits, refinancing and restructuring, as well as property acquisitions and dispositions.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Management with a concentration in Business Management and Economics from SUNY Empire State College, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Public Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition, she holds both the Asset Management Specialist (AMS) and Certified Housing Asset Manager (CHAM) designations from the Consortium of Housing and Asset Management.
