Miranda Castro leads the Asset Management Department at Opportunity Home as the Director of Asset Management. She has dedicated her 20-plus-year career to affordable housing management. In her current role, she oversees more than 45 partnership assets comprised primarily of LIHTC and layered funding such as HUD, HTF and HOME. Miranda oversees all department operations including monitoring of third property management companies, financial analysis and reporting, physical asset inspection and adherence to regulatory agreements. She also leads the assets through post 15-year exit, deal refinances and restructure as well as property acquisitions and dispositions.
Miranda earned a Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Empire State University with a major in Business Management and Economics. She also holds both the Asset Management Specialist and the Certified Housing Asset Manager designation through The Consortium for Housing and Asset Management.
In her free time, Miranda enjoys spending time with her family, baking the latest Pinterest recipe and immersing herself in period British dramas.
