A native San Antonian, Leilah Powell has built a distinguished career across the community development sector. She has worked with financial institutions such as Bank of America, nonprofit organizations including the San Antonio Housing Trust and the Brackenridge Park Conservancy, and as a consultant for clients such as the San Antonio River Authority, Bexar County and Trinity University. She has also served in municipal and county government, including as chief of policy for two San Antonio mayors.
Powell has contributed her leadership to numerous boards, including the American Institute of Architects (AIA) San Antonio, the San Antonio Section of the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association and her neighborhood association.
