Apply for Rental Assistance
The deadline to apply for rental assistance from the The City of San Antonio’s Neighborhood & Housing Services Department Housing Assistance Program is midnight on Friday, June 10.
You may qualify for assistance if you are financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. When you apply, you will be asked to provide information about your financial hardship. Some examples include but aren’t limited to:
- Loss of income because of the pandemic
- Medical bills from COVID-19
Rental assistance will be provided on a one-time basis for households up to three months ($3,500 max for rent assistance and $1,500 max for utility assistance). Your total household income must be at or below 80 percent of Area Median Income in order to qualify for assistance. This is $66,800 for a family of four.
Applications will be processed in the order in which they are received. If an application is submitted prior to deadline, you may check the status of your application by visiting Check App Status, or by calling 311 or 210.207.5910.
