Blanco Apartments Residents Welcomed Home

Opportunity Home San Antonio welcomed 65 Blanco Apartments residents back to their homes on May 2, after they were relocated as a result of a fire.
Prior to their return, residents received temporary lodging accommodations from the organization, while others chose to stay with relatives. Employees and community partners provided food, water, clothing, transportation, medication, gift cards and other essential items on a daily basis.
During the residents’ absence, repairs and maintenance to the Blanco community’s floors, hallways, ceilings, air conditioning units and apartment doors were performed.
Their return included food and entertainment during an event hosted by property management.
“I am very grateful to Opportunity Home staff, who were fantastic,” said resident Caroline Tardiff, who has lived at the apartments for four years. “They were there for us for everything we needed, and they were very compassionate in all they did for us.”
Senior Community Manager Lori Trevino was elated to welcome residents back to their community.
“I am so happy to have everyone back happy and healthy,” she said. “Our residents are strong and resilient.”
