Marcus Peoples joined Opportunity Home in October 2025 as the Senior Director of Human Resources. He transitioned to the affordable housing and community development sector after serving as Vice President of Human Resources at VIA Metropolitan Transit.
Marcus brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the retail, hospitality and public transportation industries, including more than 20 years in executive roles. He is passionate about serving the community and helping people grow into the best versions of themselves.
Throughout his career, he has implemented transformational human resources programs that strengthened employee engagement, increased participation in wellness initiatives, improved retention and lowered costs. He looks forward to continuing this work at Opportunity Home.
Marcus is a graduate of Tom C. Clark High School in San Antonio and holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas.
