George M. Ayala serves as the Director of Procurement at Opportunity Home, where he oversees the acquisition of goods and services in compliance with established federal, state and local regulations. He also administers the organization’s Section 3 and minority contracting programs.
George brings more than 18 years of procurement experience across federal, state and local government agencies. Before joining Opportunity Home, he served as Director of Purchasing and Warehouse at Northside Independent School District and Director of Purchasing at Laredo College. He also served in the United States Army.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M International University. George is a Certified Texas Contract Developer (CTCD) and Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM) and represents Opportunity Home on the Board Of Directors of the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (SCTRCA).
