Aiyana Longoria

Director of Human Resources

Aiyana Longoria has worked at Opportunity Home for more than 10 years, starting as an apprentice of housing programs, then becoming the Assistant Director of Compliance, and most recently the Assistant Director of Community Development Initiatives. In her compliance role, she developed expertise in interpretation and implementation of changes to State and Federal regulations, as well as knowledge of operational reviews and quality control to minimize agency risk. In her position under Community Development Initiatives she has supported all of Opportunity Home’s grant funded programs in support of family self-sufficiency, as well as many special initiatives available to Opportunity Home as a Moving to Work agency. Aiyana has both a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), with a concentration in Management and a Master of Business (MBA), concentration in Project Management from the University of the Incarnate Word. She is in the final semesters of pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA). She is also certified as a Public Housing Manager and has been a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. In 2017, she completed the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Alexander Briseño Leadership Development Program. In spring 2018, she taught a graduate level course in “Housing Policy” at the School of Urban and Regional Planning at UTSA and was accepted into the National Association of Latino Community Asset Builders (NALCAB) Pete Garcia Fellowship program. Her goal in the fellowship is to bring asset building resources and financial literacy to families in assisted housing programs.
