Congressman Joaquin Castro secured approval from the U.S. House Appropriations Committee on July 8 for Opportunity Home’s Community Project Funding (CPF) grant award of $1,250,000. This federal funding will support comprehensive roof replacement at five Public Housing Senior/Disabled communities across the 20th Congressional District of Texas. Our CPF request was selected as one of 15 San Antonio community projects advancing in the legislative process, pending approval by the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.
